- National Business Perception Index (NBP Index)

January 2010 - December 2010NBP Index is a joint initiative of Center for Economic Research and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan aimed at elaborating a toolkit for assessment and short-term forecasting of business activity dynamics. The NBP Index is calculated on the base of survey results of approximately 500-600 enterprises’ managers from all 14 regions of Uzbekistan and covers 5 main sectors of economy – industry, agriculture, construction, transport and communications, trade.

The aim of the research is to analyze the opportunities of Uzbekistan for diversification of export by commodities and geographical destinations by the means of raising the competitiveness of economy and promoting goods of national producers to foreign markets. Practical recommendations for the implementation of this strategy will also be developed in the research paper.
