The Opening ceremony of the Fifth annual photo-exhibition “Uzbekistan - the heart of Central Asia. Culture and development” will be held in Tashkent Photo-house fr om 5 to 7 p.m.
The main goal of the exhibition is in creation of a propitious environment for cross-cultural dialog, better understanding among countries through reflecting foreigner’s unique viewpoint on Uzbekistan, its nation, traditions and culture.
The growing interest to the exhibition can be confirmed with the fifth, this year’s exhibition, where more than 220 works, prepared by the 54 participants from 25 countries and representatives of 8 international organizations will be introduced.
Participation of only amateur photographers who are non-residents of the Republic of Uzbekistan is the unique side of the exhibition. These are representatives of diplomatic corps, international organizations, foreign businesses and just guests of Uzbekistan.
Among the honorable guests of the ceremony are the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, UNDP Resident Representative, EU/UNDP the Enhancement of Living Standards (ELS) and the Area Based Development (ABD) Program Coordinator, Director of the “Economic Review” magazine, as well as representatives of diplomatic corps, international organizations, a number of ministries, governmental organizations and mass media.
