Despite considerable progress in socio-economic reforms there were no significant changes in the field of managing science and R&D. Uzbekistan's long-term development goals are largely bound to increasing competitiveness of the national economy and welfare improvement of the population.
Is this feasible to achieve the goals of transition to a knowledge and innovation based economy while maintaining the current trends?
